Honor shows ARRI Look Cinematic Video filters for the Magic9 series
The filters change the colour grading of the phone’s camera to match ARRI cameras, ahead of the Magic9 unveiling on September 28.
Honor has shown off a set of video filters built with ARRI for its upcoming Magic9 series. The collection, called "ARRI Look Cinematic Video", applies with a single tap and changes the colour grading of the phone’s camera to match that of one of several ARRI cameras. Users can also adjust the colour temperature of the video.
The demo features actor Xiao Zhan, Honor’s global ambassador for its flagship phones. Honor has been leaning on its partnership with the German camera maker to build buzz for the series: the Honor Magic9 Pro Max appeared at the 83rd Venice Film Festival.
The Magic9 series will be unveiled on September 28. The Pro Max model carries two 200MP cameras, with a 1/1.28" sensor in the main camera and a 1/1.4" sensor in the telephoto. It supports a new 500mm teleconverter kit alongside the existing 200mm kit.
Honor is also working on a Super Edition phone with an 11,000mAh battery.
