iOS 27 hides settings for photo cropping, clipboard and Wi-Fi details
Apple’s update includes tucked-away options that change how photos are displayed, how iCloud syncs and how long shared albums last.
iOS 27 carries a set of settings that Apple did not highlight when presenting the update. They sit in submenus of the Settings app and mostly affect how the iPhone presents content.
In Settings > Photos, a zoom option is on by default and crops thumbnails so they fill the grid. Turning it off restores the original proportions of images. The same section offers "Sync Now" to pull in photos sent from another device through iCloud without waiting.
The suggestion bar above the keyboard now offers to paste a copied item directly, with a filter by content type: text, link or image. In the Library tab, a filter button in the top right isolates "My Photo and Video Captures", setting aside screenshots, memes and wallpapers; the filter clears once the app is left.
Shared albums can be given a lifespan, thirty days for example, and keep full resolution. Shots not saved on the iPhone disappear when that period ends.
