Microsoft sets a Windows and Surface event for October 7
Satya Nadella, Jensen Huang and Pavan Davuluri will outline the role of on-device AI and the RTX Spark platform behind the Surface Laptop Ultra.
Microsoft will hold an event in San Francisco on October 7, focused on the role of on-device AI in the next generation of PCs. The session starts at 10AM PT, 1PM ET.
CEO Satya Nadella, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Pavan Davuluri, Microsoft’s executive vice president of Windows + Devices, will take part. Microsoft says the three will present the latest work across Windows, the Nvidia RTX Spark platform, Surface and the wider PC ecosystem.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra, announced in June 2026, runs on the RTX Spark platform, Nvidia’s first system-on-a-chip built for Windows. Other laptop makers have introduced their own machines powered by the same platform.
The gathering comes more than two years after Microsoft’s last major Windows event, held in May 2024, where it unveiled Arm-based Copilot Plus PCs and a renewed partnership with Qualcomm. Letting AI agents handle a growing share of everyday computing work is part of the vision Microsoft and Nvidia share, and Microsoft has already shown Project Solara hardware in public.
