Minecraft Legacy ported to PlayStation 2 and Wii in a C++ rewrite

A games optimization specialist has brought the title to two consoles whose hardware limits make the work notable.

A new port of Minecraft Legacy has been released for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo Wii. The work comes from OptiProjects, also known as OptiJeugos, described as a games optimization specialist.

The port was rewritten in C++ rather than adapted from the original code, and the resulting code was tuned so that it works well on the PlayStation 2's 32MB of RAM. That memory figure is the only hardware detail the report gives.

The report does not say when the port became available, how it can be obtained, or whether other consoles are planned. It also offers nothing on performance beyond the memory constraint, or on how the two versions differ from one another.
