OnePlus 16 teased in China with 165Hz refresh rate across the system
OnePlus confirms the OnePlus 16 will run ColorOS 17 on Android 17 and refresh at 165Hz system-wide.
OnePlus has teased the launch of the OnePlus 16 in China, saying in a Weibo post that the phone is coming soon, and confirmed some of its key specifications.
The handset will run ColorOS 17, built on Android 17. OnePlus also says the OnePlus 16 will support a 165Hz refresh rate across the whole system, not only in selected apps, matching earlier reports about a 165Hz display.
A newer leak points instead to a 185Hz AMOLED panel. A device believed to be the OnePlus 16 has also appeared on China’s 3C certification site, where the listing indicates 100W wired charging.
Leaks further describe a 200MP main rear camera, a 9,000mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. One recent leak suggested an October unveiling.
