Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro: 8,340 mAh battery and a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen
The Redmi Note 17 series skips the number 16 and puts battery life first, with more than two days of use promised away from the charger.

Xiaomi has moved straight from the Redmi Note 15 family to the Redmi Note 17 series, skipping the number 16, and the Redmi Note 17 Pro leads the range with an 8,340 mAh battery. The standard model in the series carries a 7,700 mAh cell, and Xiaomi promises more than two days of use away from the charger.
The phone measures 163.5 x 78.3 x 8.6 mm and weighs 223 g, with proportions close to the Xiaomi 17T Pro. Its 19.5:9 format makes one-handed use awkward for some, though the weight stays reasonable given the size and the battery inside. The flat polycarbonate frame and fully flat front and back give it a very regular shape.
The 6.83-inch AMOLED panel covers about 89% of the front, with thin symmetrical bezels and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The optical fingerprint reader sits under the screen, low enough that users may need to reposition their thumb. 2D face recognition completes the security.
On the back, the large central camera island gives way to a square block with rounded corners at the top left: a more conventional and more sober look, on a plastic panel.
