vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max to debut MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro on September 21
vivo will present the first phones built around MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, one day before Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max.

MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 9600 Pro, a flagship smartphone chipset built on a 2nm process. The chipset was unveiled on September 16. The first phones to be made official with it inside will be vivo’s X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max, which the company says it will launch on September 21.
That puts vivo one day ahead of Oppo, which has confirmed the Find X10 Pro Max as another early device on the same chipset and will announce it on September 22. vivo shared its plans on its official Weibo account.
The company also outlined what the X500 Pro series will offer around imaging: 4K120fps 10bit Log recording and output, an imaging NPU 2.0 with autofocus at 60fps that vivo describes as industry-leading, and a self-developed imaging chip for 4K Dolby Vision portrait video. A new high-performance AI processor is part of the package too.
