vivo X500 surfaces on Geekbench ahead of September 21 launch
The standard X500 appears to use a different MediaTek chipset from the Pro models, all three set to be announced in China on September 21.
The vivo X500 has appeared in the Geekbench database under model number V2609A, ahead of its launch in China on September 21. The listing shows a single-core score of 2,694 and a multi-core score of 7,770 in Geekbench 6.7.1 for Android.
The prototype that ran the benchmark uses a MediaTek chipset that could be the recently announced Dimensity 9600M or last year’s Dimensity 9500, the differences between the two being small. That unit carried 12GB of RAM.
The phone runs Android 17 out of the box, with vivo’s OriginOS 7 on top.
The vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max have already been confirmed to use the Dimensity 9600 Pro, MediaTek’s current flagship, while the standard X500 uses a different chipset. All three will be made official in China on September 21.
