EU energy labels for iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max surface online
The EU’s EPREL database now lists energy labels for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, carrying figures Apple itself does not publish.
Apple does not normally disclose the capacity of its phone batteries, nor how long exactly it will keep delivering software updates. Since June 2025, European rules require that information on an energy label and a product sheet filed in the EPREL database before a device goes on sale.
The entries for the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max are now available there. Their measurements were taken using the same protocol applied to the iPhone 17 Pro last year, which makes the two generations comparable.
Those documents contain details Apple did not mention during its presentation, among them information tied to battery life and to the period during which the phone will keep receiving updates. It is a rare look at material the company usually leaves unpublished, and for European buyers EPREL becomes a shared reference point that does not depend on the manufacturer’s own figures.
