Google turns its CC experiment into an AI agent for families

The Google Labs agent gets its own Google account, shared by up to six people, and sends each of them a daily briefing.

Google has reworked its experimental CC project into an AI agent built for families and small groups. The agent, part of Google Labs, has its own Google account that up to six members can share information with.

Each person decides what CC sees: emails are shared only when explicitly sent, or by marking addresses — school scheduling messages, for instance — as always available. Members can also drop invitations and documents into a shared Drive folder, or write to the agent in a Google Chat window. CC keeps a shared calendar and task list and sends everyone a "Your Day Ahead" email each morning with the day’s events and updates on earlier tasks.

The agent can draft documents, fill in forms such as school permission slips and write shopping lists, asking for confirmation before acting. Google says each instance of CC runs on an isolated cloud instance using Antigravity and its latest Gemini models, currently Gemini 3.8 Flash. CC cannot add or remove family members or search their individual inboxes, and it will not send anything outside the group without confirmation.

CC began as an experimental tool in December 2025 and was later rebranded as Gemini’s Daily Briefing feature. Existing users will be prompted to upgrade their account, and new users join a wait list.
